Man Held in Slaying of His Teenage Son

Police arrested a man on suspicion of fatally shooting his teenage son Thursday night during an argument.
Richard Rivera, 49, was held in the shooting of Brandon Cody Rivera, 16, who died from a wound to the chest.
Police said the pair were alone in their home in the 800 block of south I Street when the argument occurred. Richard Rivera called 911 and reported that he had shot his son. Brandon Rivera died at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
