Search crews on Thursday located the wreckage of a $28-million military fighter jet that crashed in the Imperial Valley desert, a Marine spokesman said.
The pilot, the plane’s sole occupant, remained unaccounted for and the search was continuing. Kevin Schultz, a spokesman for the Marine air base in Yuma, Ariz., which directed the search.
