Spanish style rounds out Casa de la Luna

A European entrepreneur bought a house in La Jolla 20 years ago. When the lot next door came on the market, he bought it, built an addition and remodeled the original home.

The end result is this three-story, 10,000-square-foot-plus residence on two parcels, completed in 1995.

The home retains the Spanish-Mediterranean style of the first house, along with its ocean and canyon views. In the transitional space between old and new wings is a domed music room. Artisans decorated the floors and doors leading into the flower-filled courtyards and patios.
