2 Women Plead Guilty to Attempted Murder
Two women pleaded guilty Monday to the attempted murder of the husband of one of them, a Marine sergeant based at Camp Pendleton.
Astrid Tepatti and Ebony Woods, both 22, who had begun a romantic relationship, admitted in U.S. District Court that they had plotted to shoot Tepatti’s husband to death.
He was unhurt.
Authorities said that when Tepatti and Woods were arrested, they had a home-brewed quantity of ricin, a deadly poison, which they allegedly planned to use for a second attempt at killing Sgt. Stephen James Tepatti.
