Re “The Art of Giving In to a Giver,” Aug. 23: In defending her decision to accept Eli Broad’s proposed funding of a new and enlarged L.A. County Museum of Art, along with the inclusion of granting him the rights of control over both its architecture and its acquisitions, museum President and Director Andrea Rich states, “ ... is there a member on our board who has more experience building ... or has better taste in art and architecture, or has higher standards?”
