A Guy’s kind of gal

Kimberly Stewart celebrated her 23rd birthday at Guy’s on Friday, with a few of her favorite pals. Such luminaries as Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst, Matthew McConaughey, Kate Bosworth, Mark Wahlberg, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie trotted on down to the Beverly Boulevard hot spot to wish a happy b-day to Stewart -- an actress-slash-stylist and daughter of Rod Stewart. At the turntables was DJ Jake Hoffman, who also has an H-Town pedigree (his dad is Dustin Hoffman). We hear Paris, who co-hosted the party with promoter Michael Sutton, was thrilled because she managed to sneak in and out of the club without being spotted by paparazzi.... Oh, and Paris was kicking it at Koi on Saturday night with rocker Fred Durst.... The Monday Social, a DJ fiesta held every week at Las Palmas, was a bit special Monday night as the Crystal Method’s Ken Jordan celebrated his birthday.... Spotted at Highland Grounds last week: directors Quentin Tarantino and Sofia Coppola doing lunch.

Moto mouths

Saturday’s inaugural Moto Music Mayhem festival, sponsored by Guerilla Union -- fine purveyors of the annual Cypress Hill Smoke-Out festival -- was a rousing success. Nearly 10,000 fans came out to see such stars as Brian Deegan and Ronnie Faisst from the Moto X team Metal Mulisha do their daredevil stunts. In addition, such bands as Social Distortion, Pennywise and the Kottonmouth Kings rocked the event, which took place in San Bernardino at the National Orange Show’s speedway.... And speaking of Pennywise, we caught up with the Hermosa Beach band the day before in Boston. Pennywise was among the many Angelenos who flew in for the Vans Warped Tour’s 10th anniversary party, which took place Friday at Foxboro Stadium. Such Southland bands as Strung Out and Face to Face were among the Warped vets who performed at the event, which capped the tour’s biggest summer ever, with 700,000 fans turning out. We bumped into Bad Religion’s bass player Jay Bentley, who says if Americans vote Bush out of office in November he’s sponsoring a “Jump for Joy” tour. Meanwhile, on a side stage, nearly every band and hundreds of fans showed up to support Boston’s own Street Dogs. That band features the original singer of the Dropkick Murphys, Mike McColgan, and Mighty Mighty Bosstones drummer Joe the Kid. The Street Dogs hit L.A. on Oct. 22, when they open for Flogging Molly at the Wiltern LG. And this just in: L.A.’s own Transplants are headlining Warped 2005.

Harvey’s fan club

PJ Harvey’s two-night stay at the Knitting Factory last week brought out such fans as Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie of Siouxsie & the Banshees, John Frusciante and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, actress Gina Gershon, magician David Blaine, singer-songwriter Carla Bozulich, actor Johnny Knoxville and members of Queens of the Stone Age.... We hear the hot Monday-night hip-hop fest, Snatch, recently moved to Prey, a saucy new club on La Cienega.... A wish for next year’s Sunset Junction: Build the stage higher. Fans who turned out to see X on Sunday night at the ambitious local festival had trouble actually seeing the band. Oh, well, the world’s a mess.
