BOYS’ BASKETBALL

* Anthony Goods and Ryan Burnett, Corona Centennial: Goods made five three-point shots and finished with 34 points, and Burnett made six three-pointers and had 24 points to help Corona Centennial (6-4) turn a one-point, third-quarter edge into a 20-point lead in the fourth period of an 83-73 victory over Covina Charter Oak despite 35 points by the Chargers’ Will Harris.

* Matt Richard and Demetrius Love, Long Beach Wilson: Richard made 10 of 13 shots and finished with 24 points, and Love had 12 rebounds, four blocked shots and three steals as the Bruins (6-2) beat Cerritos, 65-41, in a La Habra Sonora/Fullerton Troy tournament game.

* Shane Poppen and Sean Taxter, Thousand Oaks: Poppen scored 30 points, and Taxter added 21 as the Lancers (7-1) advanced to today’s title game of the Arroyo Grande tournament with a 92-65 victory over Santa Maria.

* Ryan Vogt, West Torrance: Scored 11 of his 23 points in overtime as West Torrance (7-3) defeated visiting Beverly Hills, 63-58, in a nonleague game after the Normans had forced the extra period by closing regulation play with a 16-2 run.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

* Natasha Figueroa, Bell Gardens: Scored 15 of her game-high 23 points in the second half and added eight rebounds and seven assists for Bell Gardens, which defeated Glendale, 56-48, in pool play at the Burbank Burroughs tournament.

* Jasmine Erving, Huntington Beach: Had 26 points and 11 rebounds as the Oilers (6-1) beat Trabuco Hills, 52-48, and advanced to the championship game of the Anaheim Loara tournament.

BOYS’ SOCCER

* Victor Portillo, Pomona Garey: Had three goals and three assists for the Vikings (9-1) in a 6-1 nonleague victory over Montclair.

* Josh Brown and Andrew Sanders, Los Angeles Loyola: Brown had two goals and one assist, and Sanders scored twice for the Cubs (6-1) in a 6-0 intersectional victory over Tampa (Fla.) Catholic.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

* Coral Kemp, El Segundo: Scored two of her three goals in the first half and had two assists as the Eagles (6-2) beat Garden Grove, 8-4, in a battle of Southern Section Division VI teams. El Segundo is ranked No. 2 in the division, Garden Grove seventh.

* Darby Anderson, Santa Margarita: Scored three times, including the go-ahead goal in the second half of overtime as the Eagles (4-0), ranked No. 3 in Southern Section Division I, edged No. 2 Santa Ana Foothill, 7-6, in a nonleague game. Foothill was the Division I runner-up last season.
