Police Shoot and Kill Man in Placentia
Placentia police on Wednesday fatally shot a man who they said confronted them during what a department spokeswoman described as a “call for service” in the 100 block of El Camino.
No names were released, and police declined to release details “so as to not jeopardize the investigation,” according to Det. Corinne Loomis.
The incident occurred about 5:15 p.m. when officers responding to the call arrived and were “confronted by a combative male subject,” Loomis said.
The incident is being investigated by the department and the Orange County district attorney’s office, which is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings.
