BOYS’ BASKETBALL

* Darren Collison and Jeff Pendergraph, Etiwanda: Collison was 11 of 13 from the field and finished with 26 points to earn MVP honors, and Pendergraph had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the No. 1 Eagles (13-0), who defeated Los Angeles Loyola, 65-49, for the championship of the Palm Springs tournament.

* Malik Story and Shawntell Norman, Lakewood Artesia: Each scored 14 points as the Pioneers, ranked No. 16 in the Southland by The Times, beat Bellflower St. John Bosco, 55-41, for the championship of the Redondo tournament.

* Joe Ford and Conor Turley, North Hollywood Campbell Hall: Ford had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Turley had 18 points and 14 rebounds as the Vikings (11-0), ranked No. 19 in the Southland by The Times, routed Daytona Beach (Fla.) Seabreeze, 92-49, for the title of the Daytona Beach tournament. Ford, the tournament MVP, also limited Seabreeze’s top player, Don Mungen, to 14 points, 12 off his average of 26 a game.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

* Sami Whitcomb, Ventura Buena: Had 16 points, nine rebounds and four steals to help the No. 11 Bulldogs (12-4) rally from a nine-point, third-quarter deficit before losing to Dorman (S.C.), 43-42, in the National Division third-place game of the Madison (Ga.) Morgan County tournament. Jade Hughes made two free throws with two seconds left to give Dorman the victory.

* Sade Cunningham and Lenita Sanford, Lynwood: Cunningham had 21 points, eight assists and six steals and Sanford had 14 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocked shots as the No. 9 Knights (11-3) defeated Brea Olinda, 54-46, for the Santa Barbara San Marcos tournament’s White Division title.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

* Mayra Garcia and Carlyn Real, Los Angeles Locke: Each scored three goals as the Saints (6-3-1) defeated Los Angeles Bell, 8-2, to win the Harbor City Narbonne tournament.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

* Darby Anderson, Santa Margarita: Had three goals and an assist for the Eagles (8-2) in an 8-1 nonleague victory over Los Alamitos (11-3).
