Be Real Quick, who set a track record Jan. 2, will try to stretch his speed an additional 50 yards in tonight’s seventh, a $16,315 allowance at 350 yards.

Trained by Paul Jones for a partnership, Be Real Quick, a 4-year-old Royal Quick Dash colt, won the $18,000 Burbank Handicap by three-quarters of a length in 15.13 seconds for the 300 yards. It was the fourth win in 16 starts for the Utah-bred, who demonstrated in 2002 he could handle more distance. Be Real Quick won the consolation for the Los Alamitos Million as a 2-year-old, completing the 400 yards in 19.74 seconds.

Jones entered two others -- Red Hot Blitzer and Toll Tax Bac -- in the race, and the lineup is completed by Youthlike, who has won three of his last four for trainer Angela Aquino, Toasting My Dad, who has won two of his last three, and Posting The Colors.
