Familiar Face Hurts Dallas

Raja Bell matched his career high with 25 points against his old team to help the Utah Jazz beat the visiting Dallas Mavericks, 108-94, Monday night.

Utah played without Coach Jerry Sloan. Sloan missed the game to be with wife Bobbye, who has been ill. Assistant Phil Johnson directed the Jazz.

Dirk Nowitzki had 24 points for Dallas, which led, 61-60, early in the fourth quarter before missing eight straight shots as the Jazz scored 12 consecutive points to take control.

Milwaukee 88, Philadelphia 76 -- Desmond Mason spoiled Allen Iverson’s return, scoring a season-high 24 points in a victory at Philadelphia. Iverson, who had missed 10 games because of a bruised right knee, had 18 points and seven turnovers.

Seattle 119, Portland 108 -- Ray Allen scored 42 points at Seattle to help the SuperSonics overcome a 23-point deficit and win in overtime. Zach Randolph had 28 points for Portland.

Indiana 87, Miami 65 -- Jermaine O’Neal had 22 points and 11 rebounds at Miami to help the Pacers to their fifth straight victory. Lamar Odom had 11 points and 18 rebounds for the Heat.

San Antonio 98, Denver 74 -- Tim Duncan had 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for the Spurs at Denver. Marcus Camby led the Nuggets with 13 points.

Houston 83, Golden State 65 -- Maurice Taylor had a season-high 25 points at Houston to help hand the Warriors their sixth straight loss. Mike Dunleavy led Golden State with 13 points.

Detroit 78, Boston 68 -- Tayshaun Prince had seven of his 13 points during an 11-0 fourth-quarter run at Boston as the Pistons won their sixth in a row. Paul Pierce had 27 points for the Celtics.

Chicago 87, Phoenix 82 -- Kirk Hinrich had 19 points to lead the Bulls past the Suns at Chicago.
