Even though Nicole Campbell played only six minutes for Oklahoma State, she needed only a few seconds to make all the difference against No. 3 Texas Tech Saturday at Stillwater, Okla.

Campbell made a jump shot from just inside the three-point arc with 27 seconds left in the second overtime period to help the Cowboys (7-10, 2-4 Big 12) upset the Red Raiders, 88-87.

Campbell’s shot was set up when teammate Kenzie Cole missed a three-point attempt with 34 seconds left, and Campbell got the offensive rebound.

“The most important part of that play was that she had to go through two people to get the offensive rebound,” Cowboy Coach Julie Goodenough said. “She didn’t have anyone to pass it to and instead of trying to force something, she just took the shot.”

The Cowboys trailed the Red Raiders (17-2, 3-2) by four with two minutes left in the second overtime when Cole had the ball knocked away, but she recovered it deep in the Oklahoma State backcourt.

The score was tied at 86-86 with 1:13 left when Christian Hood fouled Texas Tech’s Cisti Greenwalt, who made one free throw. The Red Raiders had two more chances to score after Campbell made her shot but could not convert.

No. 5 Connecticut 71, Seton Hall 63 -- The Huskies (14-2, 5-1 Big East), thanks to a key three-point play by Barbara Turner with 1:05 left, avoided consecutive road losses for the first time in 11 years.

Turner finished with 21 points as the Huskies beat the Pirates (10-7, 2-4) for the 20th consecutive time.

Seton Hall battled back from a 12-point, second-half deficit and cut Connecticut’s lead to 60-59 when Keri Shutz made one of two free throws with 3:18 to play.
