My Miss Storm Cat was an open secret when she debuted for owner Ed Friendly and trainer Bob Baffert on May 29.

The 2-5 favorite against five opponents, the 2-year-old daughter of Sea Of Secrets won by 10 lengths.

Stretching out to six furlongs today, My Miss Storm Cat will be favored against 10 others in the $100,000 Landaluce.

Since her big win, My Miss Storm Cat has continued to train well for Baffert, who won this race with Hookedonthefeelin in 1998 and Notable Career two years later.

One of the fillies My Miss Storm Cat will have to beat is Souvenir Gift. Perfect in two starts for co-owner and trainer Sam Semkin, the daughter of Souvenir Copy was impressive taking the Cinderella Stakes by 4 1/2 lengths June 6. She’ll be ridden by Mike Smith.

Race of the day: Lunarpal, who is unbeaten in three races for owner Bill Heiligbrodt and trainer Steve Asmussen, will take on six other 2-year-olds in today’s $150,000 Bashford Manor at Churchill Downs. A Grade III at six furlongs, the race attracted three other unbeaten colts -- Maximus C, Storm Surge and Copy My Notes.

One for the road: Stay Forever, who has won nine of 15 on the grass, will make her first start in New York in today’s $250,000 New York Handicap at Belmont Park. Eddie Castro will ride the 7-year-old Stack mare for trainer Marty Wolfson in the Grade II at 1 1/4 miles on the turf.

Exotically speaking: A pick four using Castor Troy, Is It True Mex and Free Cheers in the sixth, Hecandigit and Macaneo in the seventh, My Miss Storm Cat and Souvenir’s Gift in the eighth and On The Acorn, Quiet Cash and Montana Deputy in the ninth.
