Landaluce Brings a Storm

Since her big win, My Miss Storm Cat has continued to train well for Baffert, who won this race with Hookedonthefeelin in 1998 and Notable Career two years later.

One of the fillies My Miss Storm Cat will have to beat is Souvenir Gift. Perfect in two starts for co-owner and trainer Sam Semkin, the daughter of Souvenir Copy was impressive taking the Cinderella Stakes by 4 1/2 lengths June 6. She’ll be ridden by Mike Smith.

Race of the day: Lunarpal, who is unbeaten in three races for owner Bill Heiligbrodt and trainer Steve Asmussen, will take on six other 2-year-olds in today’s $150,000 Bashford Manor at Churchill Downs.
