Stellar Jayne Tries to Go Distance

Share

With a victory in today’s Coaching Club American Oaks, Stellar Jayne will be a victory away from sweeping New York’s Triple Tiara for 3-year-old fillies.

Owned by Spendthrift Farm and trained by Wayne Lukas, Stellar Jayne, a daughter of Wild Rush, got the first leg of the Tiara when she stunned five rivals at nearly 30-1 in the Mother Goose on June 26 at Belmont Park.

After winning at 1 1/8 miles, Stellar Jayne will stretch out to 10 furlongs today against Ashado, Dynaville, America America, Honor Point and Magical Illusion. The final race in the Triple Tiara is next month’s Alabama at Saratoga.
