Part of Harbor Closed to Swimming by Sewer Spill
From Times Staff Reports
A portion of Huntington Harbour was closed to swimming Wednesday after a blocked sewer line caused a 1,000-gallon spill of raw sewage, officials said.
The cause of the spill, which affected a quarter-mile stretch at Sunset Aquatic Marina and Portofino Cove, was under investigation. Officials said the area would remain closed until testing shows bacteria levels have returned to acceptable standards.
