Baja Fresh puts CD on the menu

If you find yourself hungry for new music from Santana and, say, a fish taco, pretty soon you’ll be able to take care of both hankerings in one place. Along the lines of CDs customized for Starbucks customers, a new CD including four new Santana tracks along with recordings by Etta James, Buddy Guy, Cesaria Evora and others will be sold exclusively at Baja Fresh Mexican Grill food outlets.

The project is a fundraiser for Carlos Santana’s Milagro Foundation, which has distributed more than $2 million to organizations that support health, education and arts for children, Billboard reports.

The album, “Food for Thought,” will be available starting July 13 at the chain’s 300 restaurants nationwide. It’s the first nonfood item Baja Fresh has offered.
