Bank of America Corp. said two employees in Milan had resigned in connection with Italian authorities’ probe of the collapse of Italian milk company Parmalat.

The third-largest U.S. bank confirmed that Italian prosecutors investigating Parmalat’s collapse were probing activities of the bank and some of its employees.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Bank of America said prosecutors told it they were investigating three Milan employees, two of whom had resigned. In January, prosecutors had identified Luca Sala, who used to run the bank’s corporate finance division in Italy, as another subject of their probe.
