Washington (16-11) vs. USC (15-12), 11 a.m. -- The teams begin quarterfinal play in the Pacific 10 women’s tournament today. The third-seeded Trojans have extra incentive after having been eliminated from last year’s tournament by Washington, 64-63. The third-seeded Huskies have won four of their last five games; USC is 2-3 over the same span. Trojan senior forward Ebony Hoffman needs three rebounds to reach 1,000.

Arizona State (17-10) vs. UCLA (16-11), 7:15, KLAC (570) -- The fourth-seeded Bruins are the hottest team in the conference, having won eight of their last 10 games. The fifth-seeded Sun Devils are without junior Betsey Boardman, their leading scorer this season (10.6). She tore an anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee last Saturday against Washington State, the same injury (but in the right knee) that cost her the 2002-03 season. Noelle Quinn, named the Pac-10 freshman of the year on Thursday, leads UCLA in scoring (16.0) and rebounding (7.5).
