Fame comes to Saturday nights at Xes

So just when you thought Saturday nights were for amateurs, Bolthouse Productions launches “Fame,” a star-studded dance club at Xes, the new name for the old PaPaz. On March 7, the Cahuenga Boulevard nightclub was the site of some serious booty shaking as such see-lebs as Scarlett Johansson, Mark McGrath and Jason Biggs took to the floor on Fame’s inaugural night. Xes (yes, that’s right, S-E-X spelled backward) was recently transformed by the crew behind WeHo’s Dublin’s and the Falls. And among the key additions are a new outdoor patio, VIP lounge and dancing pole. Fame’s looking to be pretty hot to trot, with such DJs as David Orlando and Samantha Ronson supplying the sonics.... Another Saturday night sweet spot that’s been raining stars is the Ivar’s Funkn Groovn club. Among the dance club’s recent revelers: Tony Kanal and Adrian Young from No Doubt, actress Dominique Swain and Val Kilmer, who celebrated the upcoming release of his latest flick, “Spartan,” there last week.

They’ve added tables in the patio and diners are enjoying the pre-summer weather. We hear Vogue and Earl Jeans are teaming to host a fashionable bash at Concorde on March 31.... All dressed up at Touche

Andy Dick was among the revelers who turned out for Touche’s opening night Sunday. Touche, a monthly performance art night at the Parlour Club in WeHo hosted by Clint Catalyst and Jason Lavitt, was the site of some outrageous costumes (think coat hangers and tulle). Dick had such a blast he not only got on stage and whooped it up, but he’s also coming back next month to do a special performance....
