Assistant Sheriff’s Questionable Acts
Re “Orange County Sheriff Fires His Top Aide,” March 18: How could former Assistant Sheriff George Jaramillo be stunned at his recent firing by Sheriff Michael S. Carona? Jaramillo has been an embarrassment to the department since he was assigned to the position by Carona. His interference in the two incidents involving the teenage son of Assistant Sheriff Donald Haidl shows his lack of integrity and good judgment. His arrogance is evident in the use of the sheriff’s helicopter as transportation for himself and his wife to the airport.
Jaramillo states he thought he and Carona were like brothers. I guess Cain and Abel would be a good example of their type of brotherhood. Jaramillo couldn’t be serious in thinking he could run against Carona in the next election.
