No Scrubs Gets Chance at Another Victory

No Scrubs, who won a trial for the Maiden Stakes before failing to get close in the final March 5, will try to bounce back in tonight’s seventh race, a $15,300 allowance at 350 yards.

Trained by Paul Jones for owner Marilou Kelly, the 3-year-old Takin On The Cash gelding had earned his first win in one of the trials Feb. 14.

Dispatched at 29-1 in the final, No Scrubs finished seventh, beaten a little more than three lengths.

He’s reunited with jockey Ramon Sanchez, who was aboard for the win, this evening and they will break from the rail in the field of six.

The rest of the lineup includes Jc Iflyfastdou, an invader from Wyoming, Dashing Perry, who broke his maiden over a sloppy track Feb. 22, Brubeck, Heza Blue Rocket and Honor Dat Royal.
