Dispute at Restaurant Leaves 1 Man Dead
A gunman opened fire during a gang-related dispute in a King Taco restaurant late Saturday, killing a 20-year-old man and wounding two other people, authorities said.
The killer and his victim, identified as David Valenzuela Jr., began arguing as they waited in line for their food, according to Deputy Alba Yates of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The man pulled out a handgun and shot Valenzuela in the upper torso.
A security guard, 38, and a woman, 18, were struck by stray bullets and taken to a local hospital. The gunman fled and has not been found, Yates said.
