5 Women Shot by 2 Men Banished From Party
From Times Staff Reports
Two men turned away from a Halloween house party Saturday night returned and fired into the gathering, wounding five women, police said.
The 9:30 p.m. shooting on the 800 block of West 55th Street left one woman seriously hurt with gunshot wounds to her chin and spine, said Los Angeles police Officer Cynthia Caudra.
The other women were not seriously hurt. All five were taken to area hospitals, police said.
Police said the suspects fled in a Ford Explorer.
