Party Host Held After Man Is Fatally Shot
A man was shot in the head and killed early Sunday after getting into an argument as he tried to make his way into a house party, sheriff’s officials said.
The victim, whose name was not known, got into an altercation with a woman as he tried to enter the home in the 13000 block of South San Pedro Street about 4 a.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Jose Woolum.
The man who was hosting the party, Chelette Spurlock, 33, allegedly approached the victim and shot him once in the head, Woolum said.
Spurlock was booked on suspicion of murder and bail set at $1 million, Woolum said.
