Two Chances to Hit It Big

Share

Bettors will have two pick six carry-overs to shoot for today.

Aqueduct has one of $105,610, and Golden Gate Fields has a five-day buildup of $111,026.

My Snookie’s Boy will get a lot of attention from pick six players in New York. The 3-year-old son of Crafty Friend may be a single on a lot of tickets as he drops in class in the sixth, a $52,000 optional claimer at 1 1/8 miles.

Second to the now-retired Lion Heart in the Long Branch and Haskell Invitational Handicap at Monmouth Park during the summer, My Snookie’s Boy switches to jockey John Velazquez as he tries for his fifth victory in 15 starts.

A possible single at Golden Gate Fields is the streaking Vaca City Flyer. Claimed out of an $8,000 maiden race on July 14, the 3-year-old Michael’s Flyer filly has won four of five for owner Bob Bone and trainer John Martin.

Race of the day: Minister Eric, who hasn’t raced since finishing 16th in the Kentucky Derby on May 1, returns in today’s sixth at Hollywood Park for trainer Richard Mandella. Corey Nakatani will ride the 3-year-old Old Trieste colt in the $40,000 optional claimer at 6 1/2 furlongs.

One for the road: Keesler looked good winning Oct. 10 at Belmont Park and can win for the third time in six starts in today’s ninth at Aqueduct, a $45,000, six-furlong allowance for New York-bred fillies and mares.

Exotically speaking: A place pick all using Mysterious Cat in the first, Full Moon Madness in the second, Diamond Fury and Seattle Souvenir in the third, Trickey Trevor in the fourth, Harbour Town and Honey Badgett in the fifth, Lifestyle and Sunset Place in the sixth, John’s Kinda Girl and Conspiring in the seventh and Freetouch in the eighth.

Winners: Previous day/meet total: 2/26. Money: Previous day/meet total: $6/$138.60. Total money bet: $166.
