Kittles Believes He Has Come to the Right Place

Kerry Kittles, traded from the New Jersey Nets in July, had no say in where he would be dealt but indicated he was glad to have landed with the Clippers.

“L.A. is a good place to be,” said Kittles, who made his Clipper debut Sunday but sat out Thursday’s game because of a hyperextended right knee. “Obviously, the climate is a good climate, and I think a healthy Kerry can definitely help this team in many ways.

“They need some guys who’ve had the experience that I’ve had to help show them how to play the game the right way....

“They’re young. They work hard. They’re competitive. It just takes time for them to learn how to play, and with my experience I could probably help them.”

Kittles, a seven-season starter in New Jersey, ranks among the Nets’ all-time leaders in several categories.

“Kerry was a terrific player for us and I think a very underrated player,” Net President Rod Thorn said.
