Holiday closings
Monday is Columbus Day. The following schedule will be in effect in observance of the holiday.
Offices: Federal and state offices and courts will be closed. Most city and county offices will be open. Call your city hall for information.
Mail: There will be no mail delivery, and post offices will be closed.
Banks: Most banking institutions will be closed.
Schools: Most public schools and places of higher education will be in session.
Public transportation: Metrolink service will be unaffected.
Trash collection: Most trash pickups will be unaffected. Call your local waste hauler for information.
