The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan and Iraq:

Ronald W. Baker, 34, of Cabot, Ark.; specialist, Army National Guard. Baker died Wednesday in Landstuhl, Germany, of injuries suffered Oct. 7 when a car bomb exploded near his patrol vehicle in Taji, Iraq. He was assigned to the 39th Support Battalion, Army National Guard in Lonoke, Ark.

Andrew W. Brown, 22, of Pleasant Mount, Pa.; sergeant, Army. Brown died Oct. 8 in Baghdad of injuries suffered Oct. 1 when his patrol vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 509th Infantry at Ft. Polk, La.

Michael L. Burbank, 34, of Bremerton, Wash.; staff sergeant, Army. Burbank was killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Stryker military vehicle in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Paul M. Felsberg, 27, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; second lieutenant, Marine Corps. Felsberg was one of two Marines killed Wednesday in enemy action in Iraq’s Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Kyle Ka Eo Fernandez, 26, of Waipahu, Hawaii; specialist, Army. Fernandez was one of two soldiers killed Thursday when an improvised explosive device detonated near their dismounted patrol in Miam Do, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division (Light) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Andrew Halverson, 19, of Grant, Wis.; private first class, Marine Corps. Halverson was killed Oct. 9 in enemy action in Iraq’s Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Brian S. Hobbs, 28, of Mesa, Ariz.; staff sergeant, Army. Hobbs was one of two soldiers killed Thursday when an improvised explosive device detonated near their dismounted patrol in Miam Do, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division (Light) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Jeungjin Na Kim, 23, of Honolulu; private second class, Army. Kim was killed Oct. 6 when his patrol was attacked by small-arms fire in Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Hovey, Korea.

Oscar A. Martinez, 19, of North Lauderdale, Fla.; private first class, Marine Corps. Martinez was one of two Marines killed Tuesday in enemy action in Iraq’s Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Christopher A. Merville, 26, of Albuquerque; specialist, Army. Merville was killed in combat Tuesday in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Hovey, Korea.

Anthony W. Monroe, 20, of Bismarck, N.D.; private first class, Army. Monroe was one of two soldiers killed Monday when two rockets exploded in their camp in Baghdad. He was assigned to Division Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Pamela G. Osbourne, 38, of Hollywood, Fla.; sergeant, Army. Osbourne was one of two soldiers killed Monday when two rockets exploded in their camp in Baghdad. She was assigned to Division Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

James E. Prevete, 22, of Whitestone, N.Y.; private first class, Army. Prevete was killed Oct. 10 when his military vehicle encountered whiteout conditions in Habbaniya, Iraq, and the driver apparently lost control of it. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment at Camp Greaves, Korea.

Carson J. Ramsey, 22, of Winkelman, Ariz.; private second class, Army. Ramsey was killed Oct. 10 when a car bomb exploded near his military vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Jeremy F. Regnier, 22, of Littleton, N.H.; specialist, Army. Regnier was killed Wednesday when an improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Aaron J. Rusin, 19, of Johnstown, Pa.; private first class, Army. Rusin died Monday in Baghdad of injuries suffered Oct. 10 when his military vehicle came under fire by enemy forces. He was assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Howze, Korea.

Brian K. Schramm, 22, of Rochester, N.Y.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Schramm was killed Friday in enemy action in Iraq’s Babil province. He was assigned to the 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Michael S. Voss, 35, of Aberdeen, N.C.; staff sergeant, Army National Guard. Voss was killed Oct. 8 when his convoy vehicle struck an improvised explosive device and came under small-arms fire near Tikrit, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment, Army National Guard in Wilmington, N.C.

Daniel R. Wyatt, 22, of Caledonia, Wis.; lance corporal, Marine Corps Reserve. Wyatt was killed Tuesday in enemy action in Iraq’s Babil province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve in Chicago.

Ian T. Zook, 24, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; corporal, Marine Corps. Zook was one of two Marines killed Tuesday in enemy action in Iraq’s Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms, Calif.
