Share

Five days after winning a third consecutive Santa Anita Derby with longshot Buzzards Bay, trainer Jeff Mullins will try for another stakes victory today in a different locale.

Brooke’s Halo, a 3-year-old Southern Halo filly, is one of five entered in today’s $250,000 Beaumont at Keeneland.

Privately purchased after a six-length win in her debut at Calder on Nov. 25, Brooke’s Halo was one for two at Santa Anita. She finished 10th of 12 in her first for Mullins in the $250,000 Sunshine Millions Oaks and won an optional claimer March 9.
