Michael Finley scored 15 points, including three free throws in the final 23 seconds, and the San Antonio Spurs held on to beat his former team, the Mavericks, 92-90, Thursday night at Dallas.

“The first game, I had a few butterflies,” said Finley, who signed with the Spurs in the off-season after being waived by Dallas.

Finley, who made one of six shots and scored two points against Dallas on Nov. 5, started in place of Manu Ginobili (foot).
