A driver made an illegal turn and crashed into an Orange Line bus in Woodland Hills on Saturday, causing no serious injuries.

The 2 p.m. accident was the fifth for the Orange Line in the last five weeks. The car’s driver and one passenger said they felt some discomfort after the collision, but they declined medical treatment, said Sgt. Randy Modrell of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver made a right turn from Victory Boulevard onto Mason Avenue and crashed into the bus. Preliminary evidence indicates the driver was at fault, making an unsafe right turn at a red light, but an investigation will continue, Modrell said.

Saturday’s crash came two days after another Orange Line accident injured three passengers and prompted calls for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to temporarily shut the Orange Line and conduct a safety audit.
