Man Shot to Death While Sitting in SUV

Police were looking Monday for leads in the slaying of a man as he sat in his sport utility vehicle at a gas station.
Juan Carlos Landaverde, 26, was shot to death about 7 p.m. Sunday while parked in the 900 block of Soto Street, said Los Angeles Police Officer April Harding.
“The suspect or suspects stepped up to the car and fired multiple shots into the victim,” she said. “We have no motive and no suspects.”
