Desmond Mason and Mike James more than made up for the loss of Michael Redd in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 113-83 rout of the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night at Milwaukee.

Mason scored 23 points and James added 18 to help Milwaukee win for the third time in a row and hand Atlanta its 14th consecutive road loss.

Redd, Milwaukee’s leading scorer, saw his 212-game playing streak end when he sat out because of a sprained left index finger, which he hurt while going for a rebound in the closing seconds Wednesday night in Toronto.

“He’s day-to-day. I don’t think it’s serious,” Milwaukee Coach Terry Porter said.

It didn’t matter that Redd was on the bench. The Bucks had seven players score in double figures and their 30-point victory marked their biggest winning margin this season.

Mason slid over to shooting guard and forward Toni Kukoc got the start.

The Hawks got 21 points from Antoine Walker and a season-high 20 from rookie Josh Childress, not nearly enough for Atlanta to keep from matching its longest road drought since closing the 2000-01 season. Atlanta is 2-21 away from home.

Detroit 107, Washington 86 -- Chauncey Billups scored 21 points and Richard Hamilton finished with 20 points and eight assists at Auburn Hills, Mich., leading the Pistons past the Wizards.

Tayshaun Prince scored 16 points and matched a career-high with seven assists for the Pistons, who finished with a season-best 33 assists.

Gilbert Arenas, selected to the Eastern Conference All-Star team over Hamilton and Billups, led Washington with 24 points. Antwan Jamison, another All-Star, scored 14 points for the Wizards, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Washington closed within eight points early in the third quarter before the Pistons extended their lead to 22. Ben Wallace and Billups each scored seven points in the quarter.
