California’s J.J. Arrington became the third running back in Pacific 10 history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season Thursday in the Bears’ 45-31 loss to Texas Tech in the Holiday Bowl. Both Marcus Allen and Charles White won the Heisman Trophy during their 2,000-yard rushing seasons:
