NFL Not the Same Since the Day of the Jaguar

Records are made to be broken and I’m happy for Peyton Manning. However, perhaps there should be an asterisk next to Manning’s touchdown passes mark because of how the pro game has changed in the last decade or so.

The NFL is nothing more than a game of catch between the quarterback and the receiver. The hash marks have been moved, opening up the entire field. The defensive backs can no longer make contact. And offensive linemen can use their hands to block. Imagine, you can’t touch the receiver and you give the modern QB more time to throw.

Congratulations Peyton Manning, but realize you are playing a different game today.
