BUZZ CLUBS

Big steps to come

The one thing everyone seems to agree on in this town is to not miss the Key Club’s “Carnival: Choreographer’s Ball,” when the best and the brightest stars in the dance world (i.e., Wade Robson, Chris Judd) strut their stuff. On Jan. 26, the WeHo club celebrates the sixth anniversary of the Ball.... Among the fans who caught last week’s Danzig show at the Key Club were Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, “Stone Cold Steve” Austin and Billy Duffy of the Cult.... And finally, a Key Club eye candy alert: The rock ‘n’ roll super group Camp Freddy plays Jan. 27, with all of the $10 admission going to aid victims of the tsunami.

Snap to attention

Don’t miss this: Celebrity photographer Brad Elterman’s first exhibition opens Jan. 19 at the Don O’Melveny Gallery in WeHo. Culled from his work in the 1970s and ‘80s, Elterman’s material features such icons as Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, KISS, Michael Jackson, Madonna and the Ramones.... Wednesdays at Xes in Hollywood are now called Pop-A-Wheelie, a street biker theme night spun by DJ Climaxxx.... John Digweed and the owners of the Bar are throwing down this week for those affected by the tsunami. At the Bar, a buck from everything you drink tonight through Sunday goes to UNICEF. And trance superstar Digweed used his skills to full effect at Las Palmas’ Monday Night Social on Monday, where all proceeds went to Save the Children.... And speaking of Las Palmas, it’s down for the count (undergoing renovations). When we learn Monday Night Social’s new digs, you can read it here.... In honor of Elvis Presley’s 70th birthday, the Universal Bar & Grill has invited such rockabilly bands as the Hot Rods and the Voodoo Train to conjure up some TCB. I’ll take mine with a Blue Hawaiian.

Brad, Jen in style

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston rang in the New Year at Bricktop’s Courtesan Masked Ball at the Parlour Club in WeHo. Now that’s hot.... Scenestress Cindy Margolis tells me Dean Factor is celebrating his 40th birthday on Saturday at Eurochow in Westwood with an ‘80s theme party. And on Monday, you can see Margolis in her own VH1 reality show.... So Ozzy Osbourne’s rendition of “Crazy Train” rocked Liquid Kitty so hard at the stroke of midnight on NYE, stiletto heels tore up its vinyl booths.... Dropped in on those lovebirds, Marty & Elayne, at the Dresden in Los Feliz and ran into a gent and his missus who were so smitten with the jazz duo, they’d come from England to see them. It was their second honeymoon and they had been there for four nights in a row. Now that’s amore.
