The USC women used a 16-0 run in the second half to take control and defeat California, 76-71, on Thursday night and increase their winning streak to seven games.

The victory also enabled the Trojans, 13-4 overall, 7-1 in the Pacific 10, to remain tied for first place in the conference with Stanford.

Brynn Cameron scored 14 points and Jamie Funn had 13 to lead the Trojans.

Jamie Hagiya scored all nine of her points in the second half after the Trojans trailed by one at the break.

Leigh Gregory led the Bears (8-9, 2-6) with 16 points and nine rebounds

USC had 15 steals and scored 21 points off 22 turnovers.

California led, 41-38, at one point, but then Hagiya scored five consecutive points, and the Trojans didn’t trail again.
