A suspected drunk driver being chased by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies was killed Friday afternoon when his car was involved in a collision with four other vehicles, officials said.
Long Beach Fire Capt. Jimi Arvizu told City News Service that five people, including a baby, were hurt but that their injuries were not life-threatening.
The suspect’s identity was not released. Authorities said he was driving erratically before the crash at Bellflower Boulevard and Spring Street in Long Beach.
He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
