A man and a woman have been arrested on charges of recruiting two girls, ages 14 and 16, to work as prostitutes in Nevada and California, the U.S. Attorney’s office announced Monday in Los Angeles.
Juan Rico Doss, 36, of Reno and Jacquay Ford, 26, of Sacramento were arrested Friday on an indictment charging them with child sex trafficking, transporting minors across state lines to engage in prostitution and conspiracy.
Prosecutors said the girls were driven from Nevada to various locations in California -- including Los Angeles, Sacramento and Oakland -- to work as prostitutes.
