Worker Who Died in 80-Foot Fall Identified
A man who plunged 80 feet to his death Wednesday while working on an expansion of the Orange County Performing Arts Center was identified as a 48-year-old father from Redondo Beach, officials said.
An autopsy completed Thursday revealed that Jorge Bazan died from multiple traumatic injuries, coroner officials said.
Bazan, who was wearing a harness, was standing on a scaffold at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Hall when it gave way and plunged with him to the ground, officials said. He was pronounced dead at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
