A Winless Streak Ends for Salt Lake

Clint Mathis had a goal and an assist and Real Salt Lake ended a 10-game winless streak by defeating FC Dallas, 3-0, Saturday night in a Major League Soccer game at Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake (4-11-4), which hadn’t won in two months, set a franchise record for goals in shutting out Dallas, co-leader in the Western Conference.
D.J. Countess stopped seven shots in his fourth shutout of the season.
San Jose 2, MetroStars 1 -- Dwayne De Rosario scored the go-ahead goal and added an assist at San Jose. Mark Chung also had a goal and assist for the Earthquakes, who moved into a tie for first with FC Dallas in the Western Conference.
Colorado 4, Chicago 1 -- Alain Nkong scored two goals to lead the Rapids at Denver. The Eastern Conference-leading Fire had their six-game unbeaten streak end.
Columbus 2, Kansas City 0 -- Rookie Knox Cameron scored twice to lead the Crew at Columbus, Ohio.

Thiago Martins, Rodrigo Lopez and Christian Jimenez scored goals to give Chivas USA a 3-2 victory over the Southern California Seahorses in an exhibition match at La Mirada High.
