Saving the Wildflowers

Share

In the essay “Mountains Among Us” (June 26), I wish that Paul Haddad had taken a moment to explain why our native wildflowers should not be picked. For each wildflower picked, seeds will no longer be available to sprout and grow in future seasons. If you want to enjoy the beauty of these flowers each year, let them continue to grow and mature. It is a good deed for the environment.
