Suspect in Slaying of Student Is Bailed Out
A man charged with murder for his alleged role in the killing of a Dartmouth College student has been released on bail after close friends offered their home as collateral.
Christopher Larry Wilson Jr., 20, of Berkeley appeared in court Wednesday but did not enter a plea. He has been charged in connection with the July 17 slaying of Meleia Willis-Starbuck, 19, who had returned home to Berkeley for the summer. Prosecutors said Wilson drove the car used in the shooting.
The man accused of shooting Willis-Starbuck, Christopher Lester Hollis, is still at large.
