Winners: U.S. soprano Susanna Phillips and Russian baritone Vasily Ladyuk won Placido Domingo’s Operalia competition for emerging artists.

Cut and Paste: Music, film and culture magazine Paste will service the subscriber base of Tracks, a now-defunct magazine aimed at older music fans. The move will bring Paste’s August/September issue to a run of more than 250,000.
