Ex-County Employee Gets 1 Year in Sex Case

A former Fresno County Child Protective Services employee has been sentenced to one year in jail and four years’ probation for having sex with a 14-year-old girl who lived in a Fresno group home.
John Vincent Brooks, 40, was charged last year with 20 felony counts. He met the girl when she was 10, when as part of his job he drove her to a prison so she could visit her mother, officials said.
