Longtime Suspect Pleads Guilty in Murder

A Cathedral City man pleaded guilty Monday to the 1983 murder of a Sherman Oaks nurse, the district attorney said.
The day after Elaine Graham, 29, disappeared, her car was found in an Orange County shopping center. Her remains were found eight months later in a remote area of Brown’s Canyon in Chatsworth.
Police had long suspected Edmond Jay Marr, now 47, and were able to link him to the crime in 2003 through the use of new forensic technologies, including DNA testing.
