A video of a locker room assault by two teenagers on a Hercules, Calif., high school student that was later posted on a British Internet site has led to the arrest of an 18-year-old who fled the scene but was later identified from the video, police said Friday.

Eric Guillebeau of Hercules was arrested Thursday in Sacramento on felony battery charges in the May 6 attack.

A 16-year-old Hercules High/Middle School student whom police said also took part in the attack was arrested the day of the assault and is in custody at Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall. He faces expulsion from the school, according to Paul Ehara, spokesman for the West Contra Costa Unified School District.

The 17-year-old student who shot the video, who was in the locker room when the attack began, also faces expulsion, Ehara said.

Police said the boy gave them the original video Thursday after it was discovered on the British website. The video has since been taken off the site.

The victim, a 17-year-old sophomore whose jaw was broken, has returned to classes at another undisclosed school.

Hercules, about 20 miles northeast of San Francisco, is a city of about 20,000 that was named for the former Hercules Powder Co. that manufactured explosives there for many years.
