Boat Runs Aground in Harbor; One Man Hurt

A 37-foot sport fishing boat ran aground Saturday at Newport Harbor, injuring one of the four people aboard, officials said.
The unidentified man was taken to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and treated for minor cuts on his head.
The boat ran aground shortly before 8 a.m. at Reef Pointe Place and Muddy Creek Ramp. Authorities said they were investigating whether heavy fog may have been the cause.
