THE fall kids’ TV season features the usual imports from Japan, including “Magical DoReMi,” but there are also a few new twists on old favorites with programs inspired by the legendary Looney Tunes characters, as well as the action figure G.I. Joe.

The Disney Channel is giving its popular “Baby Einstein” home video franchise its own series, “Little Einsteins.” And Diego Marquez, the cousin of “Dora the Explorer,” is getting his spinoff show. Unless otherwise noted, the series have already premiered.

“Jack’s Big Music Show”: Live-action series hosted by a music-loving puppet named Jack and the friends who play at his clubhouse. Mondays-Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Disney Channel

“Little Einsteins”: An offshoot of “Baby Einstein,” this series for preschoolers offers new ways to hear and see music and art. Premieres next Sunday at 7 p.m.

“South of Nowhere”: Dramatic series revolves around an Ohio family who moves to Los Angeles and has a difficult time coping with the fast-paced life in the City of Angels. Premieres Nov. 4.

Toon Disney

“Get Ed”: A genetically engineered teenager named Ed, who works as a messenger in the future, must steer clear of the evil Bedlam, who knows that Ed is the key to saving the world from his power. Various times.

Kids’ WB!/KTLA

“Loonatics Unleashed”: This new animated series garners its inspiration from the classic Looney Tunes. The sci-fi comedy adventure series set 700 years in the future features a cast of superheroes -- including Ace Bunny, Lexi Bunny, Danger Duck and Spaz B. Wilder -- who are all descendants of the Looney Tunes gang. Michael Clarke Duncan, Tim Curry and Florence Henderson are among the guest voices. Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.

“Johnny Test”: An animated action-comedy about a fearless 11-year-old boy, his genetically engineered super-pooch and his 13-year-old super-genius twin sisters. Saturdays at 10 a.m.

“Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island”: The animated series revolves around the adventures of a wild coconut named Fred who lives on a beautiful tropical island in the middle of the Fruit Salad Ocean. Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.

“Viewtiful Joe”: Japanese import about an average Joe who loves his girlfriend and idolizes an action movie superhero. When a monster snatches his girlfriend through the movie screen, Joe manages to get into the screen to save her. Premieres in November.

Discovery Kids/NBC

“Flight 29 Down”: Live-action series with a “Lost” flavor. A small prop plane filled with a group of kids crash-lands on a beach in Micronesia. Saturdays at 10 a.m. on NBC; Mondays and Fridays at 5 and 8 p.m. on Discovery Kids Channel. Premieres Monday.

“Go, Diego, Go”: An action-adventure series based on “Dora the Explorer’s” cousin, Diego Marquez, an 8-year-old who’s both a bilingual animal rescuer and nature expert. Wednesdays at

“Magical DoReMi: The popular, long-running girls’ show in Japan arrives stateside, telling the story of three third-graders and best friends who decide to become witches. Saturdays at 8 a.m.

“Bratz”: “The Girls With a Passion for Fashion” -- Cloe, Yasmin, Jade and Sasha -- hunt down big scoops for their own teen magazine in this animated series that features comedy, adventure and music. Saturdays at 9 a.m.

“G.I. Joe Sigma 6”: An action fantasy geared to boys based on the famed G.I. Joe characters. This new series features a core team of heroes that battles an evil organization called Cobra. Saturdays at 11 a.m.
