Body Parts Are Found in Two Garbage Bags
Coroner’s investigators today will perform an autopsy on what appear to be a woman’s body parts that were found Friday night in two triple-wrapped garbage bags on a Pico Rivera street, sheriff’s officials said.
Passersby spotted the bags of decomposing body parts about 10 p.m. Friday in the 8300 block of Lexington Gallatin Road, said Sheriff’s Deputy Oscar Butao.
So far, authorities have not been able to identify the victim, Butao said.
They are working on trying to attain fingerprints from the remains, and hoping that the autopsy will turn up other distinguishable features, he said.
